The Sadaharu Oh's took on the Tournament All Stars at the Baseball City Stadium in the Tournaments' final game.
A few no shows were in the crowd, probably because the game was being broadcast live on TV Botswana.
Baseball City is the spring training home of the Kansas City Royals. A beautiful complex located just south of Disney World, this is the final year of the complex as the Royals are moving their spring training site to Arizona.
A double in the gap and the All Stars strike first. Scoring 7 in the first inning, they held on for the win after a valiant Oh's rally.
It was another beautiful day for baseball with temperatures hovering around 77 and sunny blue skies as we had enjoyed all tournament long.
By the final game some players leapt from the dugout each inning . . .
. . . . while others enjoyed its peace, solitude, and bench!
Fans file out in the bottom of the 9th with hopes of next year's tournament already on their mines! |
