Egypt!

Cairo And Alexandria

October 10-18, 2026

Egypt is one of the world’s oldest civilizations tracing its beginnings on the Nile Delta back to 6000 BC. Ancient Egypt was considered a cradle of civilization producing ancient temples, hieroglyphics, pyramids, sphinx and mummies. Its medieval religious heritage includes Islam and Coptic Christianity that can still be seen today in its ancient churches, monasteries and mosques. It contains large swaths of desert and the rich Nile River Valley at its heart. And in the middle of Cairo is a baseball field you could soon be playing on!

Sound interesting? Then here's your chance! Plans have finalized for our baseball road trip to Egypt, so now is the time to gear up if you plan to join us. Offering extensive sightseeing and baseball camaraderie, we are now signing up players for this exciting trip, so don't miss out.

We’ll Go Inside Several Pyramids, Curse Be Damned!

Interested in joining us? Well the requirements are simple.  First, the ability and desire to play baseball in a unique international setting.  Second, an interest in international goodwill and sportsmanship (e.g. if you swing the bat at the ump after a called strike three, please try fantasy baseball).  Third, an adventurous spirit willing to venture forth into the historic Egypt.

You’ll Enjoy A Camel Ride Around The Pyramids And Sphinx

What’s involved in this once in a lifetime opportunity? First, you will depart America on October 10th and arrive in Cairo the next day where you'll transfer by cab to the Holiday Inn Maadi. After a night of rest, we will begin our baseball exploits playing four games in the Cairo area against local adult Egyptian baseball teams.

Hit A Homer And Maybe They’ll Make A Statue Of YOU!

By now you are probably asking yourself how you could be so lucky to have the opportunity of a lifetime and play baseball in Egypt? Well, it’s time to come back to earth as every dream has its price, but this one’s reasonable. The cost for each player in a double room is $2995 and the cost for a tourist in a double room is $2895.  Single rooms are $4095 for a player and $3995 for a tourist.   Final payment is due August 1st after which no refunds will be given.

Please note that if you sign up for a double room and are not bringing or sharing a room with a roommate who is also signing up for the trip, being assigned a double room is not guaranteed and will depend on whether another person also signs up without a roommate request. If you cannot be paired up with a roommate, you will be required to pay the single room supplement.

Optional Visit To Luxor

Visiting Luxor requires purchasing plane tickets for a day trip from Cairo. Tickets sell out quickly and until we have a full group we cannot purchase plane tickets. If the tour fills quickly and we can book the group on the same flight, depending on the interest we can [a] tour Luxor instead of Alexandria, [b] add a day to the tour and visit Luxor on the October 18th and depart for the USA on the 19th, or [c] if only a few people wish to do Luxor it can be arranged for them separately on the 18th. Luxor as an option would be an additional $400 including the flight. On our last Egyptian tour 22 of 25 people elected to spend an extra day and visit Luxor.
